- The fund seeks to achieve their respective investment objectives through the appropriate amount of exposure to the SPIKES futures contracts included in the index. Under certain circumstances, it may also invest in futures contracts and swap contracts (“VIX Related Positions”) on the Cboe Volatility Index (“VIX”), an index that tracks volatility and would be expected to perform in a substantially similar manner as the SPIKES Index.
